EP4: From Frustration to Transformation

Have you ever gotten really frustrated with your child’s learning experience and thought about just starting your own school? I know I have. Well, our guest on this episode, Chantel Jones-Bigby and two of her mom friends actually did just that. Dissatisfied with the experience their children were having in school, they decided to join forces and start their own learning pod.

After successfully starting their micro school, Chantel founded the Black Lotus Mothers initiative, a space for her to bring Black moms together to reimagine their children's learning experience.

In this episode, we'll talk to Chantel about her experience co-leading a learning pod while still working full-time and running her own small business. I hope you enjoy this conversation about challenging traditional learning norms and leveraging a blend of resources to help your child thrive.

At the end of the episode, I also mention an incredible free tool I've found to help my son with math - Khan Academy. For more information about how I'm leveraging Khan Academy to help my son improve his math skills, check out my Math Mastery workshop.
