EP5: Raising Resilient Boys

We were excited to welcome Tonya Clark of MindfulEd, to the podcast this week! We discuss actionable approaches to building cultural identity, supporting our children's emotional well-being, and instilling pride and confidence in the face of negative societal narratives. This episode is a powerful guide for mothers of Black sons who are committed to parenting with purpose and intention.

We also dive into Tonya's initiative, "Broga," a mindfulness and yoga program designed for black and brown boys. Tonya first introduced Yoga to her son as a way to help him manage his big emotions. Since then, she’s developed the Broga curriculum to help introduce boys to the power of yoga.
